Schools Out for Summer Launch #1


Olympic Peninsula Rocketry's first launch of the summer.

What a great day!
Attendance was up. Five club members, three friends of club members , five parents , Club leader and assistant club leader.
Rockets took to the air at 10:45am and continued to launch till about 2:00.
Twenty eight flights were recorded for the day with six flights being certification flights for entry in the Jefferson County fair in August.
Good job, well done. Go to Donnie, Samuel E. , Mariann , Samuel A. and Ben on you successful Certification flights.

One rocket was lost , the Swift 220 on a A10-3T, what I like to call a " fire and forget rocket" because once it's launched you can forget about getting it back. John Ludwig's Decaffeinator broke a shock cord and came in ballistic" cool Flight, rough landing " as you can see from the photo below.
