Google Earth streams the world over wired and wireless networks enabling users to virtually go anywhere on the planet and see places in photographic detail. This is not like any map you have ever seen. This is a 3D model of the real world, based on real satellite images combined with maps, guides to restaurants, hotels, entertainment, businesses and more. You can zoom from space to street level instantly and then pan or jump from place to place, city to city, even country to country.

New Launch Pad

This is our new launch pad for six rockets. This launch pad will replace two of our older pads . Ease of set up and portability do come at a cost. Total cost right around $80.00
Olympic Peninsula Rocketry Car Wash
Our 4-H Club needed to raise money for a trip to Blue Mountain Rocketeers
" Rolling Thunder" club launch September 2009. What better way than to have a car wash. Four hours of hard work many, many car washed, we now have raised enough money to pay for our trip.
For more information on Blue Mountain Rocketeers follow the link below.

Drag Race

Astra III Drag Race

My rocket can go faster and higher than yours " no it can't, Yes it can! Ok let's have a drag race"

Club Launch Januaray 17, 2009

Our first club launch of the new year. Many rockets took to the air, tempeture 47 degrees, light fog to start the launch day, but burned off rather quickly. The best part no wind. In the photo Johathan and Ben are prepping a Quest Starhawk for launch.
Rockets launched Starhawk, Antari, Aries, Viking, Astra III, Alpha III, Birdie, Astra, Seeker, Generic, Falcon, Baby Bertha, Big Bertha, Super Big Bertha, Sky Viper (clone), Big Daddy. Oh did I mention Drag Race, twelve two rocket drag races , what fun!
All in all a great day to launch some rockets.

Golden Scout Launch

Sky of Gold

This summer in the month of July this Golden Scout will be launched in celebration of Vern and Gleda Estes 50Th. Anniversary for there contribution to the hobby of Model Rocketry. The Scout was the very first model rocket kit that Estes produced . Our 4-H Club Olympic Peninsula Rocketry is in the process of building six more of the Golden Scouts.
July 19, 2008
As you can see by the photo above four Golden Scouts were launched and recovered. All flights were launched using 1/2A6-2 motors.

Schools Out for Summer Launch #1

Olympic Peninsula Rocketry's first launch of the summer.

What a great day!
Attendance was up. Five club members, three friends of club members , five parents , Club leader and assistant club leader.

Twenty eight flights were recorded for the day with six flights being certification flights for entry in the Jefferson County fair in August.
Good job, well done. Go to Donnie, Samuel E. , Mariann , Samuel A. and Ben on you successful Certification flights.

One rocket was lost , the Swift 220 on a A10-3T, what I like to call a " fire and forget rocket" because once it's launched you can forget about getting it back. John Ludwig's Decaffeinator broke a shock cord and came in ballistic" cool Flight, rough landing " as you can see from the photo below.

I would like to thank all you parents for taking this time out of your busy weekend to support
Olympic Peninsula Rocketry 4-H club .

OPROC Club Launch May 24, 2008

Another Olympic Peninsula Rocketry club launch goes down in the history books. What a great day!

Mercury Joe Story

I really like this video . Why? Because this guy never gave up. Over and over his rocket failed, for many different reasons. As they say "If it was easy, anybody could do it" With many rebuilds, test, trials and errors and then finally success!
Enjoy the Mercury Joe Story.

OPROC Trailers,Outtakes and Bloopers

Most of the time what you see is a fine tuned finished movie and alot of footage ends up on the digital cutting room floor. We thought we would show you a small sample of what you didn't see. These clips were shot during Olympic Pensula Rocketry 4-h club launches over the past four years.
