So I thought I would share with you a few examples of the model rocket projects that I have been working on over the past year or so. Starting with this upscale model of an Estes Goblin. As you can see this is a work in progress. Stay tuned for further updates on this project. Right now we are watching primer dry.
Update 5/6/08
As you can see we have managed to find a few good days with nice weather to paint our Goblin. Next step is to mask off and paint one fin black after that comes the decals .
Update 5/18 /08
In the past two week we have completed our upscale Estes Goblin project. Masking of the one fin for black paint was a task in it self. Decal application took over four hours. The black stripe decal above the fins was saved for last as I perceived this to be the hardest to apply. Which in fact turned out to be very straight forward. I guess I got lucky. Decals were left to dry for twenty-four hours . Next we applied a coat of Future Floor Finish not only to protect the paint but the decals also. This has been a most enjoyable project.
Stay tuned for launch posting .
Update 9/12/08
Ok, here is the Goblin Launch Video
